Some of y'all might recognize this car, Originally a 390/4 speed Bayshore blue car but changed somewhere along the way.
Story was that it spent most of it's life in OHIO and was raced some back in the day. I didn't get much of the story but would be very interested if anyone knows the original owner or history.
I picked it up earlier this year. Car ran but was in pieces. Original plan was to paint it back to blue but the paint scheme has really grown on me. Car came with a 390, Edelbrock heads, an uncut R4B, Accel tach drive dist, 833 transmission and the worse hack job of a wiring harness I've seen in awhile.
Since I was tinkering with this thing I figured that this would be a good time to use a bunch of old parts I had laying around and tossed on a couple carbs & a crossram.

Went through the brakes, ignition & fuel systems, then added some gauges. Car runs pretty decent now... even made it to a local car show and back! Next is to rewire the thing. Lights would be a plus!

Man, that thing is cool! I wondered where the car went after it sold. Congrats on the purchase and getting it back on the road!

I'd keep the paint scheme. They have "value" now.... "everyone" has a stock painted car. This stands out.

I like it, crossram, wild '70s paint scheme, and all.

Pretty cool Andy. In my opinion its yours you should make it how you want it, but i wouldnt change anything. Its better than factory. I’m not a resto guy. Its a fine piece of history as is. And it would be a crying shame to take that paintwork out. Its a work of art.

Thx for the comments & the paint ain't going anywhere. With the 4 speed, a pretty lumpy cam and Cherry Bombs it's a blast to drive. Even got a thumbs up from a lady driving a Tesla.

Imagine trying to replicate one of these "70s" paint jobs. Lotta Man hours I'd assume $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If it were mine, I'd leave it the way it is. I like that paint job. That would cost a fortune to replicate today...

The paint is staying... only real change besides the wiring will be shorter stacks so the hood fits.

Very cool old slips. They would love those on "Blast from the Past Drag Racing" on FB.
I never heard of that Track before. So even cooler yet.

The airport is still there and looks like a good place for a track. Feel free to post the timeslips on fb.
