Well, hell, it's only money. And not even all that much. While looking into the Holley setup, I came across this: www.summitracing.com/parts/fif-30002Lots of folks are claiming that the Holley setup is just a copy of the FITech.

But can you run a stock mechanical fuel pump from Rock Auto? Cause it just isn't an AMC, unless it has a cheap discount mechanical fuel pump on it.

Every time I go out to fire up the Rebel or a Jeeptruck that's been sitting for more than 24 hours, I realize just how much I hate mechanical fuel pumps.

But the Electrics are noisy and fail. Mechanicals only pump your crankcase full of gas and lunch your dizzy gears, cam bearings and makes your main's go out of spec by .00001 and your oil pressure goes to crap. AMX 401 part 8.

Ok well actually I did put electric pumps on my jav and 68 chevy p.u. because the diaphrams in the mechanical pumps did fail and leak a bunch of fuel into the crankcase. just part of dealing with modern ripoff alchohol blended fuel imo. and that would be my number one reason for swithing to f.I., but I have not had serious issue with running carbs with modern shit fuel, as long as I drive then every week.

Yeah. 'Cause they buy $12 electric pumps on ebay.

That little 304 runs better than at least one 360 I know of (Macy's blue big body), and sounds great as well...

I don't think so.. I built a 4L stroker (258 crank) for my Comanche way back when and it perform well and did gain low end torque but, it didn't match the feel of a V8. Not to mention the sound. IMO So I agree with Javtwotone Love my 304 and it's nothing special.
