Nostalgia Drags 9-27-14. Well we did have a pretty good turn out of AMC cars for the event. 3 Gremlins, 3 Americans, 2 SC/Ramblers, 2 AMX's that I can remember. To me, it is one of the best days at Milan. It always takes me back to the first time I went there with my Dad to watch my uncle race is 65 Comet Cylcone. It had to be a record showing this year. Some guys waited over an hour just to get in. Milan loves us AMC'ers. Again this year they announced (and bragged) that Milan has more AMC race cars than any track in the country. True or not is not even the point. The point is they said nothing like that about any other make (Thanks Dave Bies, Ketchums, and Stickshifter) I cooked again this year so, not much time for pictures. Started off with Pork Tenderloin for breakfast. Mattman's American--- last time on the road as a 6 banger! Our friend Daven from Haggarty Ins. He saved a spot for us AMC'ers. Yep, he is the guy in the adds and goes all over the country looking for parts. Personal friend of Stickshifter and I consider him a buddy myself. AMC part!! He has a gas door off of a Jeep for his rail job The man, the myth, the legened (in his own mind) On the drive in I heard the announcer say "And I see he even have a couple of Rambler ScRamblers here today!" Ardie is a club member with a AMX and this Mopar. He acquired most of Mike Gardner's turbo stuff. He wanted to put a FARMGUYS sticker on the Barracuda so I let him. Oh and yes, the fish is nice..
