Progress: 64. BC390: 68 390 street engine. Well.. I was installing the oil pick-up screen and had to go around one more turn so I gave it a good yank and proceeded to tip the whole short block on to my self. This resulted in a quick trip to the emergency room so that they could put 11 stitches in my leg to keep my knee cap from falling out. Thanks Farmguy3 for the ride.. I was suppose to be on knee brace and crutches. Yea right, that lasted about a day and then it was hobbling like Igor for about a week. Needless to say, the whole ordeal has cost me 2 weeks of progress in the shop. However... I did get the heads bolted on tonight along with a coat of paint. Of coarse it took 3 heads to make a pair due to the typical cracked corners.. 67. MN401: Short block and heads are all together. Need to install lifters, push rods and rockers. 72. BradmobileII427: Done!

It Sux gettin' old period... Progress: 64. BC390: 68 390 street engine. Oil Pump primed, Intake bolted on. Geeze, it takes me hours to get a intake ready to bolt on. First i have to blast it then, take it over to Javetwotone's for powder coating, Beer and Margaritas. Then when I am sobered up again I have do the baffel thing, the chrome sink drain oil filler tube, chase all of the threads etc. etc.. MN401 made me a pile of these nice stainless steel choak block off plates. I always gut out a thermostat to use it as a restricter plate. I fit a peice of scotch brite pad for under the baffle plate.

I really like your baffle plate set up for the Torker. Are you selling any choke plates?

Done! 67. MN401: Done! It is amazing how much crud comes out of these blocks. This is after I do all of the cleaning. I still got this much dirt or whatever after draining out the block. I rinse them out twice with water before I put antifreeze through them. 68. Rick's429. Pistons in house, block needs prepped. 69. LC390stocker: Ready to clean & assemble. #1 priority

Looks like some kind of a casting shift in the mold for 63. Wish there was a economic way to get my engine to you. I'd love to have you build my 70 390 for me? I still have to find a good crank though.. Are you getting any endorsement $ for all of the Labatt's advertising?

I have a '70 390 crank, but I paid too much for it. Which means you will also have to pay too much for it.
