Welp Hornet III is heading to it's new home tomorrow.. I'm not making a dime on it but that was not the intent anyway. I couldn't be happier!!.. It is going to a AMC family and specifically a 16 year old, young man. Pretty cool, I had a Hornet when I was 16-17 as well.

Rick I met the kid that bought the white Hornet at the show in CT a few weeks ago. He wasn't showing the car but he was there buying parts for it. By the way he was buying parts and what he spent, I would have to guess that it will be well taken care of. Glad to see that one was saved and in a good home.

Progress.. I have decided that I will take this 3-day week end to get what ever I can get done on my SC/360........... Hit the Waffle House on the way to javtwotone's this morning to fuel up for the day. Kinda neat, this very young waitress came over and asked me if I was a racer. I said huh?.. only one cup of java so far for the day. She said are you a racer, I noticed your John Force hat.. I said, well I guess so, sometimes. Then she proceeded to tell me all about her family racing motorcycles etc. It was really cool to have a young (did I mention that she was hot..) girl talk about racing just out of the blue. Anyway, javetwotone joined me and confirmed the hotedness.. Then we went to work on the SC/360. Believe it or not we didn't crack open the first beer until like 4:30.. Man, it was hot out for us northern boys but we eventually get another coat of primer on it. Now for the hours and hours of wet sanding. I put a NOS quarter panel on this side... I spent all day on the rocker panels and rear valance.. Javtwotone pretty much hand sanded door jambs and engine bay all day. Amazing how many hours body work takes,,

So... Are you going back to the original color or going with something different? I've been dragging my feet on my SC/360 for the past few years. Your progress is going to end up motivating me to get back to work on mine.....

Oh yea, the original color. The color combo is Quick Silver and black interior. The only question is weather or not I change the interior to red which, really sounded like a good idea today. If I do, I will need a new door tag. We will see. BTW - there are at least 2 SC/360's in Michigan the same green color as yours.

Brilliant Green, Mustard & Electric blue are the three most common colors for SC/360's so that doesn't surprise me. Quick Silver is a great color, I only have 4 or 5 of those documented. Canary yellow is probably the rarest color for the SC/360's. I only know of two of those and they both have original green interiors. Awful combination, makes for a really rare car....

Well, we spent a ton of hours Saturday and finally got paint in the trunk, door jambs and engine bay on Sunday night. Surprise it looks like glossy primer! Well OK, it does look better than that but the color is close..
