Search “ hot rods and custom cars- how to get something for nothing at the body shop”. On youtube. You will find a 3 part vid series on this car starring “ orange 70” a member of this site. You can see this car before and after the “100$” paint job it sports this very day. I traded this car to him for awhile, then bought the engine back, and ultimately traded a 70 javelin grill for the car back. I bought it 26 years ago, 232 /904 powered and its finally going v8... check those vids.

HOLY CRAP!!!! Spud, I sure hope you didn't have to deal with that self-centered jack-ass. I hanked my Rogue out of there as fast as I could, after he started screaming at my 16 year old daughter like a drunk sailor, because she had the audacity to start pointing out all of the runs he put in the clear-coat my wife arranged to have him do... what an absolute ASS!

Hey Spud, why don't you ship that Nash/Richmond 5 speed that is sitting on the floor to me! Nice Javelin! Thats a ford version richmond 5 gear. It goes in the primered 401 car from time to time. Its kinda noisey, i bought it in pieces, it has blown third out a few times before i bought it an pieced it back together.

That's a very nice looking Jav! Well its a 50 footer. Its got a lot of dents and rust and stuff. They shot that green color on top of a lot of bad stuff. Granted the paint job was pretty fair and stayed on wonderfully in spite of the relentless rust and old cracked bondo and shit underneath. It was originally bittersweet orange with white c stripes. A base car with no stainless trim. Which i like the cleaner base look. I bought it for my ex wife cuz it had a/c and p/s and more room than her old dodge. She was mad as hell i bought a javelin, but got used to it, since it was a smooth 232 auto power car with a fresh interior and a/c. She wrecked it three times. Yesterday i used the chain puller to straighten the front structure, which was out of whack so the hood and fenders wouldnt line up. I took advantage of the engine being out and finally fixed that . Straight as a pin again. Today i swapped out the six cylinder crossmember for a v-8 and messed with the front suspension some since i had to take it apart. Gonna swap out the quick ratio manual steering for a fast ratio power gear. But i gotta swap the guts from a ws-6 case to an amc case first. Got a lot to do before i can try out this awesome 130 hp hamberger churnin 304!

Mr. Pro Bodyman said the paint would fall off in 6-9 months.

Yeah he was totally wrong. It stays on in spite of rust bubbiling up under it, rust creeping through the ancient cracked bundo, obvious inadequate prep and numerous pressure washings if you can find the second vid in the series you can see what a mess it is just under the green... The paint itself is not a problem. Its actually summit lime green metallic . Now everything under this “ cheapo” paint totally sucks, rattle can primer over rust dents and old cracked bondo among numerous i dont even know whats spread and sprayed on it over the millenia. I have fantasies of doing a body resto on it someday. But i think it looks fine for the street and strip performance lab rat it is.

Yep, who gives a fuck if you find someone leaning on it or what not. You can leave it in staging and not look back. You don't have to stand guard over it. Sluts dragging their purse's down the side. Little kids slapping it with boogers and sticky candy all over their hands, etc.
