Figure out the fuel issue yet? No, still recovering from exhaustion. I plan on investigating the issue starting tomorrow.

As you can see from the qualifying sheet, I didn't have a good day after landing the #17 spot. Being my first time back on slicks after many years, I rediscovered the woes of violent tire shake... It may be better to put my radials back on, after seeing the level of track prep.

No, the result of severe tire shake and a short wheel base then turning to correct direction of travel. Thanks Joe.

August Heads-Up race at Milan is done. They actually completed the race.........at 3am. Here's a screen capture of me and N2OJoe in first round. We sure didn't plan on that pairing but whatever. We both lost that race. Joe lost the round but I lost a piston.

So, who won that matchup anyway? Was it heads up or against the timer?

Kev and I were running "heads up" in the Outlaw 632 class. I knew I had to pack a lunch running the Gremlin, and had a very slight reaction time advantage (.08 to Kev's .11) but it was all over before the 60' clocks as my car hit the wheelie bars hard and unloaded the tires, causing rpm's to shoot straight to the 9k rpm rev limiter. I pedaled the gas a few times struggling for traction, and had to give in eventually and just motored down track watching the Gremlin's tail lights get small FAST. I've been running drag radial tires the last several years, and just went back to bias ply slicks this season. It's been a tough learning curve trying to setup the car, and I had nothing for Kevin's "off pace" 4.78 anyway, but had to try (I had qualified #8 with a slower 4.93). There was nobody else I'd rather lost to though, and several beers were shared afterwards!
