Every time we end up in a new joint, we need a new lawnmower thread. I'll get the ball rolling this time. ;D 60s or 70s Jacobsen Turfcat. 22hp Kohler, 74" deck.

Who knows anything about Toro Turfmaster 455 D. Yes a diesel, with 10 foot of deck. $4150. Is it a decent price? Reliable? Etc

That's a heck of a machine. I have about 1/3 acre or so to mow and the one I have is almost too big.

I'm working on getting a little Kubota for my place. A tractor seems like a real handy thing to have if you have any property.
Why don't ya' like that mower?

I am a Farmguy.. I learned to do everything in straight rows. I couldn't make that dam lawnmower go straight if my life depended on it. My arms never stop rowing that thing! Yes it cuts the mowing time down by at least a third compared to the tractor with the belly mount mower deck. It doesn't do any better job, it just does it faster. Faster is good, I just don't like Zero-Straight mowers I guess.

Oops! Kinda backed up to fast and the frozen snow didn't give. Had to hook a chain to it and pull it back over with the old Willys. My left shoulder is kinda hurten now...

That sucks. Love the old Willy's! My Dad had one on his car lot back in the day and would never bring it home. I wanted it so bad.

So far so good. It seems that neither Man or Machine was hurt.
