Was a artist friend of ours who passed away a couple o years ago. This was one of his cars he used as a daily driver. I gave him the 70 blister hood scoop for it. Nice to see it out and being enjoyed. Jack would have been proud. He was in the process of building this car when he passed away. www.ebay.com/itm/1966-AMC-Rambler-/174076194656

Very cool car. The hood sets it off. I like the to-do list commentary. Change the seats, steering wheel and touching up the paint and maybe fix the leaking gas tank as he pulls in to get gas with his daughter.

Started 20 years ago makes me think. My first javelin started 40 years ago. Now a gutted shell in primer. Nothing done my whole life! If i dont get really serious, my life will have been a flippin total zero🤨

This fellow's Son (who owns the car now) called me last night in hopes of having me assemble his 390 engine fresh from the machine shop. He wanted it done in time for the Power Tour. What could possibly go wrong... I first turned him down cold and told him that I am not taking on any more engines this year. Then I thought about it and asked him if it was Jack Pennington's old car and then he was even more interested. My fault. I offered to tell him how to assemble it in my shop but he lives in Traverse City which is 6-7 hours away and he is too busy to do it anyway. It is strange but I have turned down 7 builds this year and I feel bad about it. I am just worried that some hack is going to screw his engine up.

Don't feel too bad, Rick. You need to rest and recover.

Cool car. Not so cool new owner. Sounds like he is going to turn it into parts
