Decided I'm never going to have the money to do this project, so it's up for sale. Doubt anyone on here is interested, but maybe Y'all know somebody who might be.
I bought this more than 10 yrs ago, after trying for the 5 yrs prior to get the guy to sell it, and had been accumulating all the hard to find parts for it. Nov.70 build date, which should mean it still had the high compression 401 in it. It of course was gone, but I have a 401 for it and the 291C heads. i have an AMC part numbered R4B for it also. I have the original 4 spd trans. and the cowl induction set up. it is an A1M798Z VIN code, P/S, P/DB, A/C, and even the heated rear glass. AMX grille is in good condition.
Originally silver with a black interior. The car was rotted to the ground and bent. The doors, trunk lid and cowl induction hood are all usable. Drivers door tag is intact. I have a rust free '72 Javelin body, I do mean rust free! Everything was unbolted from the junk body and saved, including the firewall panel that is different between the '71 and '72. Also have the numbers from behind the steering box. It had '73 Javelin seats in it, but I have the original buckets from my '70 AMX for it.I have a very nice rim blow steering wheel, '71 only console (don't think it came with one though) Machine wheels (need re-rimmed) NOS hood trim, 1 NOS fender trim, and... '71 only NOS tail light lens, yes they are purdy. repop front spoiler, correct chrome bumper guards, and very nice bumpers. I used the original rear end from it for my two tone '72 car and it has disc brakes on it, but I have the parts for the drums.
Several other small new items, but the main thing is that all the crap that people want crazy money for is here. I've been putting the word out before I have to go to the hassle of Ebay or the AMC forum. Don't want a bunch of dumbasses emailing me about selling them one tail light lens.. Starting this mess at 14K. Haven't found anybody who thought I was crazy for thinking it was worth that much, but I do realize it is a project, and I have to find the right person to be interested.
