Since I have no idea where I posted about my "new" heads, I will dump my nonsense here. I have actually touched the block and making some progress( a little). Just a few pics of the progress and issues so far.

Oh boy,oh boy, oh boy! Hey, is that my torque plate? Yes. Or at least that was the plan. But with the lock down I may have to sell it for beer money.

So as I make some progress, I find more issues. Here's the latest list I sent to the block supplier:
1) The deck height is wrong. This is the one issue that bothers me the most since it forces me to change my planned combination. The desired DH was 9.900" but the block is 9.650" I can only assume that it was made to the same height that Allan O'Brian ordered.
2) The rear bearing package including the oil slinger groove and seal are moved rearward to the point that the crank ring interferes with the side of the groove.
3) The main bearing oil holes are not located in the correct location.
4) The center main bearing needs a chamfer to allow the bearing to sit in the journal.
5) The center bearing tang notch is in the wrong location.
6) The main bearing journals are undersized. The spec is 2.9410 ~ 2.9417. These measure 2.9401. A line hone will be required.
7) The center cam bearing sticks out into the lifter bores. You were aware of this issue when I picked up the block. It turns out to be a bigger issue than even I thought. There are no 55x63mm roller bearings available that are narrower than 20mm. The closest is a 55x60x12 but that would require a sleeve for the OD of the bearing. By the way, it is interesting to try and remove the bearings, it must have been fun installing them. At this point I will be making modifications to run 60mm babbit bearings.
And here is the complete response I received: thanks for letting me know. I will go over it with the guys.
A truly heart felt apology in there somewhere.
The fun factor is off the charts.

You are truly a much, much bigger man than I am. The word to describe my reaction might be apoplectic.

Head studs are not cheap but these made my butt pucker. This is a quote for two sets of custom studs. Two sets is their minimum order.
