Help from the jungle again. While my 290 flywheel makes its long journey from Rick´s garage in MI to FL and then to Brasil,I am advancing on other areas that need work like the front suspension. Since its my first time dealing with the Trunnion system,I need some information. My Javelin will be used mainly on road race tracks.Very limited street use. What bushings do you guys recommend? I need to avoid flexing during hard braking and cornering. Paulo

For the center of the trunion, I replace those with a brass sleeve and install a grease fitting. The trunion bearings are hard to find but, you may be able to find something that will work. It is just a thrust bearing but the inside diameter and height are critical. I am not a fan of eurathane but, I think you can buy the rest of the bushings in eurathane if you want. NAPA used to have a performance anti-sway bar end links that was eurathane that worked pretty good. I have new spare upper and lower control control arm bushings in the factory rubber if you need them.

By "center of the trunion" you mean the vertical one? I like the idea of brass use.

Yes but you need a good machinist to do it for you.. It should be a press fit in to the trunion and a slip fit over the vertical shaft.

Right, right, thats exactly what I thought even before dismantling my suspension. Slightly pressed on the OD and just near zero clearance on the ID. What material the factory used? Rubber?

A steel sleeve with a eurathane outside. I think I have the drawing somewhere.
