Lol, it's not all that impressive. 20 lbs of crap in a 5 lb bucket. 24x24 garage packed beyond it's limit. Probably much like yourself, I've accumulated plenty-o-tools over a 36 year mechanic "career". In fact, I think I may be the only MI Farmguy without a barn. Maybe Rick will let me store some stuff at his place 😁

The T10 trans had worn syncros and would pop out of 2nd, so I pulled it out and also found a broken ear on the case. I swapped in a fresh close ratio that I'd run in the 70 AMX for a few passes, along with a rebuilt factory shifter to tighten things up. I also spent a little time yesterday cleaning up the interior a bit. I ordered new floor mats from ACC, and installed a re chromed shifter handle with new knob, boot, and chrome trim ring. The factory radio is an AM/8 track stereo that had an Audiovox FM convertor that played through the 8 track but looked and sounded like shit, so it was removed to clean up the dash. I installed a set of repop door sill plates to brighten things up. The clutch and brake pedals got new rubber pads. I still need to find paint to redo the door speaker grills. And, I got the call yesterday that my Goodyear Polyglas tires were back in stock and being shipped out, naturally just 2 weeks after buying the BF's out of desperation... 20210716_191902 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr 20210716_191929 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr 20210716_192028 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr 20210716_191954 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr

Thanks! Do you guys have suggestions on interior paint sources/brands you like?

I've been pleased with the results of Krylon Fusion on plastic. If you can find the right color.

Holy crap i thought that thing was already the nicest car i ever saw. I guess the cellphone pics hide some small stuff. I’m not completely a late javelin fan but i simply cannot imagine a better spec’d car. All the right features and colors. Total grand slam amc score on that one irregardless of the little issues.

SEM has the widest array of colors for automotive.
On something like the steering column, we had the color we wanted to use scanned to match and got a small can of base coat mixed. Then shot it with a satin clear.

Few years back, my son changed the interior color on his Volvo. Product holds up beautifully to this day on a daily driver. We checked but the web site doesn't come up. Hopefully he's still in business. I do know that if you couldn't find the exact match, he'd make it if you provided a sample. Phone number shows. 337-678-2114

Yea, go to Painter's supply in Adrian. They have SEM brand and it works well. Not sure if I get much of a discount but you can run it through my account if you want to.

Busy busy, you got more done than Faster and Louder has on his, and he's owned his 4 times longer.

Thanks guys. It's definitely not as clean as the pics look, but should be a real nice lawn chair hauler eventually. I keep wanting to swap in a 401, and gears, and, and... The 70 is a great hot street car, the Mustang is a great race car, this one needs to stay true to form.
