Geez your an energetic one ain’t ya? I guess the pleasant heated garage and the snowy winters give you the time and motivation to get big things done

That disgusting how clean that is under the coating. I'm jealous. Mine has a ton of under coating, but I'd prolly find holes if I scraped it off. lol

I figure the undercoating is the best surviving original finish on my car.

I forgot to post these pics before the front suspension bearings. On a warmer weekend last month, one of the club guys let me bring all the grungy big parts to his place to use his big pressure pot sand blaster. He's got a giant screw compressor that can run wide open for hours, and I was able to clean the front control arms, engine and trans cross members, and leaf springs, as well as drink a bunch of his beer. I forgot the front bumper brackets, so I guess I have to make another trip and buy the beer next time. Thanks Dan! 😁 IMG_20220327_074510 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr IMG_20220327_074514 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr

You guys got some serious industrial amc infrastructure ops in the area. Impressive! I wish i coulda stayed longer for more show and tell. The area south of the big lakes was just beautiful even in the dead of winter.

I stripped the grunge off the rear axle to weld the tubes to the center and box the spring perches. It got some fresh paint and was reinstalled to get the car rolling and off to the painter for an engine bay respray. I have a much nicer diff cover to bolt on when I replace the gears, diff, and install the one piece axles later. 20220402_172702 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr 20220418_182225 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr

I welded up a caster dolly to bolt onto the transmission cross member rails so I could load it up in the trailer and roll it into my buddy's paint booth. 20220412_183146_HDR by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr

Cool idea. Now I have another idea of what to do with the Blomaro when I yank the sub frame off of it.
