I'd rather see a Car you can take rides in. Back in the day someone would get a new to them Car, and take everyone out for a ride and enjoy it. Now you just look at the Car. Don't wanna wrinkle the passenger seat.

I had that '89 Jag, and it was a beautiful car. So beautiful that I was afraid to take it anywhere. I sold it primarily for that reason. I don't want a car that I'm afraid to take out because some dick might swing a door into it in a parking lot.

Yep, ya get held captive by a Car.
I see so many "saving" cars for some supposed future for no one to give a fuck anyways. I've lost half a dozen good Car friends and all their shit got fucked away after death.

Assuming that's the original Distributor it should be stamped 1111987 which should have a 30 degrees total Pole Piece in it which will reduce down to about a 26 total max degrees mechanical advance with a brass Mr Gasket Kit Pin Bushing on it and would allow about 10 degrees initial static at idle which would help the idle quality I'd think. Might ya know if n2Ojoe blocks off the 4300 auxiliary fuel inlet needle or not, so that it only uses the single primary inlet needle? Bein' as having only 1 float trying to work 2 separate needles can be a bear to get properly set up so they say...

Thank you Joe for working over the carb! It goes like it should at WOT and the stumble issue is gone. We just need to working on the surging issue now. Timing is set at 10 degrees advanced initial and the vac advance is plugged off. I might play with the fuel air mixture screws tomorrow.

I am actually not a fan of red on red but it is ok for now. If I restore it I might go with white, red C stripe and red interior. Don't go dissing on the red on red... I had mine for 30 yrs. I will drive the hour and 10 minutes up there, and dump red in the can of "tinting base", otherwise known as white paint before you try and paint any part of that car..

Now that you've gotten over your silly tint color ideas, I can even offer a nice trunk lid and my original red leather 70 seats as cores for you to spend thousands on new seat upholstery.. Nice Javelin trunk lid with the chrome on it, but those use the little tits that just need ground off if I remember correctly?
