The scheider bros kick ass. That machine used to run a stroker 401 @ 454 inches. Seems like they told me it came from a baja jeep or some such.

Yep, great guys to hang around with too. We just call them the Texans and everyone knows who we are talking about.

The red Rogue is from Kenosha. The driver is Emma Ricchio. A real force to be recond with. She started when she got her license at 16 and just graduated this spring. Dad's been busy building another Rogue for the younger daughter. Her dad Pete has a shop in Kenosha. Had my car there to go over the alignment after I rebuilt the front end. I wanted someone that actually knew what an AMC is.

I didn't take many pictures (only 2 actually...) But here is Jack Ketchum's Rambler that Bill drove, pitted with my AMX and our little tent city. I'm glad Jack got to ride along and hang out with us! 20210910_181327_HDR by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr And here's Jeff Bristow himself accepting the AMC superman of the year award (or whatever it was). Congrats luuuucky! 20210911_174819_HDR by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr I had my AMX entered in the street class, but didn't realize it was a 14.00 second cutoff and I got booted out to run Pro instead. It was running in the 12.90's so I dialed 13.00 and drove the stripe. I went to the 5th round with 6 cars left, but broke out with a 12.993. Good times!

Just copying from my post on FB. Yea, I'm that lazy. Racing recap for this weekend. Not the yellow car this time but for the RWB Gremlin street car. Took it to the AMC Nationals at Cordova Dragway. Had a great time for the first race with this car. The car was originally built by my dad about 10~12 years ago. I bought it from him last year as we are liquidating his stuff due to age related medical reasons. Anyway, I have been making some upgrades(brakes, seats, ect) and decided it was time to check it on the track. The best time slip is attached. The rear tires suck for performance and that is being addressed. Still not too bad. Top speed was about 123mph so it should be able to run 10.80s if I can get it to launch properly. And it is a street car. Runs down the highway at 80mph @ 2400 rpm. No A/C but it does have a stereo. And yes, it is a stick shift car.

Is that a lawn chair receipt? wow... It could be. But my Eagle does a better job of hauling lawn chairs. FWIW, I found the info my dad listed for the engine. Not exactly wild stuff here. Pretty much normal IMHO. Why is it so hard for some people to do this?

Y'all had a good turn out. But technically, it'd be 4 out of the 10 Quick 8's...

Forgot that there were 10 cars in the Quick 8. Makes total sense.
