"This message sent forward in time from 11-1-1957, via non-communist radio waves and smoke from unfiltered Chesterfield's....
So the new Hudson performs well! At 6:20 this morning it was circa 35 degrees outside. Two pumps on the gas and she lit on a very light touch of the starter. Idled good and allowed the Weather eye system to have her toasty warm for my long ride to work. Did not experience a 14 second 1/4 mile time... But I have not yet performed a "super tune" for max power. With the four barrel carb and plumber's nightmare dual exhaust it should be okay to hual a pair of lawn chairs and a small cooler... Stay tuned for more updates from the past as I shun modern times, piss off collectors, and campaign a 1957 Hornet with the way too powerful 327 V8 as my daily driver...."
" Rats, Elephants, Cobras, are all vermin... The 327 is the vigilante!!! Coming out at night to hunt them all down.... Just like Charlie Bronson...."
"So just to be clear electronic ignition is pointless.... With the distributor converted and all dressed up with a new cap and rotor things were looking up. Figured out the stumble on acceleration. Amazing what missing an 1/8" ball bearing out of the pump circut does... But with that replaced she runs like a dream come true. Burns tires and scares guys driving Dodge pickups... Diner at the Mexican place was a great cap to a wrench turning garage day, and there was more then one reference to Driving Miss Daisy... I think I found that better car ole' Lee Iacocca was talking about. And I bought it....."
