Wow....... Now there's the guy that could tell me how to properly install a dipstick tube I guess "figure it the fuck out" is not even an option for some people. But they're totally comfortable with asking questions online that should embarrass the shit out of them. #shakingmygoddamnedhead

You guys are just not used to the Facebook generation of online interaction. This guy would be considered an expert on a Facebook group!

It would just be nice if they would wait until after they have fucked up the simplest of tasks before asking how to do it right.

You guys need to be a little more specific when referring to the "Geniuses" on the other forums and FB. There are too many to know to who you are talking about.

I see questions like that and I realize it solidifies my thoughts that there are a lot of people out there that shouldn't be working on their own cars. It makes me shudder when I think that many of those people are the same ones that are working on the cars they drive daily.
Hmmm, what's this part? I don't remember it when I took the brakes apart, must be just an extra part.
These are the same people that are passing you, going the other direction, on your way to work...

ok so my fuel level gauge keeps going down to e. My neighbor told me to go to the gas station and buy some fuel and put it in the tank. This doesnt seem right to me. I mean yaknow I wanna fix it right. Not just keep adding fuel alike a desperate fool trying some bandaid stopgap measure fix. Sheesh. I dont have a factory service manual but I am a certified a #1 grade aaaa top dog auto tech so I can handle all degrees of difficult operations to repair this condition. So please what should I do? Only the best amc knowitalls need reply please.

I would take out the gauge since it is obviously faulty and get a new one ! My friend who builds engines for NASCAR said to me when the needle of the fuel gauge drops after you´ve driven it for awhile it needs to be replaced.
PS. It´s always good to fix the problem permanently instead of going the easy way and just band-aid it, like putting more gas in when it reads "E". Just replace the gauge and you´ll be fine.
Hehehe

Wow guys thanks. I took the fuel level gauge out and it works like a champ. Im gonna drive it to hawaii next week and I sure dont need that little issue bugging me. Now I need to put something in the hole the fuel gauge went in. I was thinking maybe some trendsetters or a three barrel holley or a photo of mavis fartin. Any opinions on that?
