Hey guys... all obvious jokes aside...
I'm moving from Dallas, Texas to Toledo, Ohio at the end of July, and need to have my '67 Rogue transported in an enclosed trailer.
Anybody have a good recommendation... know anybody they'd trust with their car... heading that way with an empty trailer...
Please let me know.

I sent a good friend in Dallas a message on a transport for your car. He is big time dealer on classic cars. He just may know of someone.

He just replied. He had one guy but he bent up his 57 and said that was the way he picked it up. He said he will ask around.

I think I've called every "hauler" on the internet in the last couple of days. The only one I've found that does NOT farm their work out to 3rd-party haulers is RELIABLE CARRIERS, INC". These are the guys with the AMX in one of their TV ads, and are used extensively by Barrett-Jackson and others. Not cheap ($1400, door-to-door, enclosed, not running), but beats having my car held hostage by some 3rd-party pirate.

Monday July 27th we close on the house here in Dallas. As soon as we're done signing the papers (and depositing the wheel-barrow full of money), the wife and I will be doing a non-stop blast, with trailer in tow, straight through from Dallas to Toledo. Boy this ought to be a hoot... 1250 miles in a regular-cab (meaning no reclining seats) Dodge Dakota R/T, pulling an open U-Haul trailer, with the Rogue strapped to it... yep, we ought to be zombies after 17-18 hours of that!!!!

I did a Toledo to Corpus Christi trip in a big-ass Penske truck in March. Truck was governed to 70 mph, so passing was fun in general and impossible on a hill. Only took 26 hours......
Good luck on your trip, and I look forward to seeing your Rogue.

Well... utter chaos here in Dallas. The movers are loading the semi as I type this. I'll be picking up a truck and trailer from U-Haul later this afternoon for the Rogue. The plan is to hit the road on Sunday morning, heading for Toledo...

We made it to Toledo safe-and-sound late Monday afternoon... and hit-the-hay pretty early Monday night... got up this morning and signed all of the closing forms, then unloaded the Rogue into her new home... now we're waiting on the moving van to arrive (should be here Thursday).
