That's a fresh block that was lapped in so no break in required after assembly. BTW, was that cylinder copper plated to correct the bore size?

Tag looks to be from 70 but everything else is newer. Even the valve covers are from a much newer engine. Motorcrap distributer and all. Its got a rebuilders overheat tattletale glued to the block in the pic of the block part number. Thats by far the highest asking price for an allready rebuilt boneyard engine i ever saw.

The tag could be a 1961, 1970. 1979, or 1983. With the prices on these 304's, I might be able to afford new lawn chairs this year. Have a half dozen 70-73 hiding in corners.
