I made a 2 hour drive up to Ionia, MI on Saturday to join a celebration for John Becker. John made the drive up from Texas to have a "work weekend" on his mustard yellow 71 Javelin AMX that is at Ross Gregory's shop, "Marquette Classics" just North of downtown Ionia. Becker is easily one of the nicest, most humble guys in the hobby, and is finally retiring from his civil engineering job designing and building bridges. A big group of AMCer's and friends made the trip including Bill and Jack Ketchum, fkn Bristow, Larry Weymouth, Dan Jensen, Rich Corsello, Mark Bilyeu from Oklahoma, Tom Guarr, Ian Webb, and many others to congratulate John and surprise him with his freshly restored 1966 Rambler Classic 770 327 4 speed convertible. Here's a video of Ian Webb presenting John with the car, and a custom red plaid vest made from the interior material 😁 Click the picture to play the video. 20220604_183606~2 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr

That is a beautiful little Rambler!
The shop is amazing, a little nicer and better organized than a world class shop I've heard of.
