Grace is the Trademark name Jim uses for his billet exhaust stubs. Dugan is the last name of the M/T header collector designer. Jim refers to the header with his manifolds and the collector as Grace/Dugan. As far as performance, Jim is slowly acquiring data. There's plenty on the other forum about this.
Personally, I think he's on to something with his design but his presentation isn't always the best. And he is a long time friend and we have talked about his design so I may be a bit biased.

The old mt super scavenger collector design was interesting. I dont think it proved to be anything spectacular. so I read 21 pages of gaymc nonsense with no real answers...except price....and for 1600 bux I think I would opt for a crane hydraulic street roller... The whole idea of " properly tuning" something to make a shitty comp 292 cam work seems sort of backwards. And I dont know what intake he is talking about, but if it is the edelbrock injection manifold, well its been done and it is a very good intake once you make an adapter plate for it. I do not understand why the concept that there is one perfect header configuration for amc. Every car would require changes in header design every time you change anything in the intake, valve timingx exhaust, cylinder head, gears add endum

I think the EFI intake. His posts aren't constructed well for my ADD, DUMBASS or DICKHEAD or w/e I have. They're kinda like Mike Brady babbling on while on ludes or something.
$1690 for just the stubs, then more the tubes, for a Jeep? am I right? To rock crawl or 4wheel in the woods with 1 5/8 tubes? It was cornfusing.

Much has gotten lost/side-tracked in all those posts.
His idea was to: A - Have easy access to all the header bolts B - No header leaks C - Tuck the tubes near the block for maximum chassis clearance D - No loss in performance
He was concerned the tight turn to tuck in the tubes would create a restriction and lose power. With flow bench testing and running them on the engine he's found the opposite to be true. Go the gaymc forum if you want to argue about it. For either side.
The Dugan header collector fits into his idea of being able to have equal length tubes with minimum bends tucked up in the chassis for ground clearance.
The talk there about him trying to make a bunch of money with inflated claims is a bunch of nonsense. He knows the AMC market would be extremely limited, probably hardcore racers or show cars.
The header stubs can be made for different size tubes.
Hope this helps.

I dont wanna argue or act a fool. the gaymc forum has that covered well enough. I do want to see technology or actual parts that work. As far as real comparative dyno numbers go, thats fine. I know from experience they are a useful tool when honestly generated and strict dyno conditions are adhered to .. to provide honest results...I dont have to see track testing. I know from experience with similar setup his combo isnt going to be tractable or provide useful numbers untill he can hook. Yes I am skeptical of his claims to be honest mainly because he has not reinvented the wheel here.

At least here Spud, you are actually using experience and logic to evaluate. You are correct about the other forum, it was all about retards with a keyboard shitting on something that their little pea-brains were challenged by. I decided to stick my neck out because I don't dig "mob rules" anywhere. Especially when it's made up of stupid mutherfuckers or by ones that like to stir shit up because they have their own thing they are trying to protect.

and Spud is a very knowledgeable guy. He reminds me of my buddy "Uncle Randy" so I have a lot of respect for his abilities. I just wish he posted more, like the old days.

Hey I love s good shitstorm dont get me wrong lol. I was honestly premature in my initial questions about the grace dugan thingx but since then thoroughly read the earlier gaymc bits about the grace dugan and now I have a better understanding of it all. There is not actually a 184 hp gain as we would generally visuslize it but a general 20 hp gain at any given rpm. i think it is honestly a great idea and a well executed piece. My only issue is the price which I am a bit sad to say would never happen for me since it simply aint fuckin worth it to a cheapshit like me. Its just the price you pay to be a real player in a waste of money hobby. I would also add the creator is very much on the proven path x and has rediscoverrd a few realtities of the amc engine that seem to be invisible to most of the less enlightened folk. Amc heads dont do dick over about .500 liftx and that torque and port velocity go hand in hand. There is no frustration in realization. Maybe when folks dont get it but I figured out its better to shut up and know things than get a brain hemmorage trying to proove the truth to people who wont listen.

I also am pissed off he figured out the edelbroch injection intake is for sure the best thing between a carb and an amc street performance engine. I was hoping that would stay a secret.

Damn Steve. That was a great post! Whether I agree with you or not, I gotta give you a thumbs up for that one! I think there's a compliment in there. It's just closer to how I think and speak which is why the comment stands apart from the usual stuff I write. It's just an opinion anyhows.

Jim is hard to understand in text..If you supplement the fbomb between every other word then it would be like talking to him in person. I like his idea though..too much money for very little gain.

But I can see how you might not think there is. Or maybe there's a backhanded one as well. But over analyzing it will ruin it. Your post simply explained why you kept going on in that thread.
