Rick Jones, don't you have the intake from this car? What do you think about this story?

Yea from my understanding, there was the first one for the photo that was a pushmobile and there there was the one pictured that had a hollowed out blower with a carb underneath. It was not a souped up 390 with a functioning Supercharger. We talk about it on page 3. rebsamcandjeep.proboards.com/thread/71/rare-unusual-amc-stuff?page=3 I will reclaim the photos when I get back from hunting in a week or so.

I find it interesting that most AMC enthusiast that have been around a while, know the real story about that car and what it really was (a prop car). Eddie Stakes has been in the hobby for a long time and fancy's himself the go to man for AMC knowledge but yet he posts shit like that. There's nothing like regurgitating mis-information and rumors and still have everyone new to the hobby think you are the end-all to end-all for AMC knowledge.

Thank you guys. There's a man on my FB that saw and rode in this car back in the day. He just happens to be Ray "Wino" Whinnery's Cousin. and another happens to be Randy Bentley, a local legend of speed. Both commented on the hollowed out blower. This car was in Salem Ohio owned by a guy named Wolfgang. It's now supposed to reside in the collection of a local Jeep parts dealer.
I tried to tell this to theee awesome Eddie Stakes and he called bs. Dunno why local racing legends would lie. Maybe Eddie should pay more attention to his Go-Fund-Me account some are commenting on.

I had stolen some of your pics last time around. There should be another thread about the Butched Jav on here, but I couldn't find it, cause some ahole keeps posting about "shitheads" and losing real info.

That reminds me of a buddy of mine back in high school. Just to screw with people, he had a bug catcher bolted to the hood of his '65 Fairlane. We were like 17 then, and he had very little trouble convincing a lot of adult (nevermind other teenagers) "hot rodders" that he had a supercharger. Most people are idiots.

I wish I could have the opportunity to buy that car. Kinda stupid looking but there is only one. I could make a clone and call it the real thing. Now that would stirr up some shit. I wonder if the Chick is still hot.. Let's see, if she was 20 in the photo she would be 68 now. I bet she still is....

I remember the commercial where some old guy borrows that car from his kid. Well I don't remember it very well I guess.
