OK so I gotslotsoshit going on right now but yea the AMCshit is still my priority.. Hey, I never said that my priorities aren't skewed... Sometimes I just have to digress to deal with the new/old job, the shop falling apart bla bla bla. Even still.. wheels are turning and progress is getting made on the AMCshit.. 8. 390/401 Jeep Guy. Rods done, crank turned, ready to clean and assemble. Seriously, ready to rock and roll just need to start assembling the dam thing so that I can figure out push rod lengths... Should be a good runner even with the cheapass BigScummit cam. 54. NEJoe's390#2: At the machine shop. #1 priority for Chuck 55. MySC/360...360. At the machine shop. (and will probably be there another year.. seriously) 56. team5050... 426 stroker street engine. Crank sent to the machine shop (RO-DY). RO-DY has 8 AMC cranks to off-set grind (4 are for me) Um yea it has been a while... might be time for a phone call. 57. javtwotone 383 stroker: Crank sent to the machine shop... the second one. Block at the machine shop. Pistons in house. 58. Jeep401: Block, crank, pistons at the machine shop. The dude is springing for Edelbrock heads and has been calling for updates. Need to get rollong on this one... 59. toms71javelin 360. 360 block w/343 pistons and late heads to end up between 9 & 10:1 compression ratio. Not high on the priority list. Haven't heard from the dude in like... more than a year. 60. 67RogueXCode: 343 block, 360 crank: #2 priority for Chuck. 61. DW401: Wants a basic street driver. Crank is machined, block and pistons at the machine shop. 62. 401_1974_Javelin_: Solid lifter 401. Block needs to go to the strip tank. Crank is at the machine shop. 63. JTruck383: Pistons in house crank is at the machine shop. Need to prep a block 64. BC390: 68 390 street engine. Nothing started. 65. GT401: Gremlin street/drag car. Wants a 401 built. I don't have anything parts for this one yet. 66. NEJoe's390#3: Another pile of parts to build a engine out of. 10: MY MACHINE engine: I have been posting up some real basic restores type of stuff on the Rebel Machine Forum: amcrebelmachine.freeforums.org/390-machine-engine-rebuild-t585-20.htmlHowever, it is going together slowly but surely. 67. MN401: A dude called me from Minnesota and wants me to build a 401 for him.. He has all kinds of race car/race Jeep parts and engines but he wants a street engine built for his early AMX. He has a IH Binder engine that he wants built. I mentioned that Bulltear can do it and is local but, he wasn't interested. There is some past history there I guess. OK so I guess that he is serious. Last week end he delivered the engine to NEJoe in IL for me to come get and rebuild. Kinda cool, he is talking about dynoing it and the whole nine yards. We will see. Thanks Joe! Get the couch (and VO) ready for me... Road trip!

Progress: 53. dcheek45: Well javtwotone and I plopped a core engine in my Hornet to mock up the external oil lines from the pan to the pump, filter, regulator etc... One of Bruce's specialties is hoses and fittings and shit so it is his bag. looking good so far but, we are designing the "kit" to be installed as we intend it to be.. Road trip!! for somebody. Also, NEJoe got the headers sandblasted and powder coated for us so, those are good to go. Of coarse, I had to weld them up and port them out a little bit to get them right. Making progress slow, but sure. The new/old job thing and restoring the shop thing is really eating in to my engine/car building time..... 62. 401_1974_Javelin_: Solid lifter 401. Took the block to the rust stripping place today along with a "well seasoned" 360 block. 67. MN401: Welp, he delivered said IH 401 to NEJoe's house for me to come get.. Road Trip!! This will be fun, he is talking about dynoing it. I hope that he does it. Always something to be tested and learned. 10: MY MACHINE engine: OK, someone kick my ass and get me in gear on this one. Ready for the oil pan, oil pump and heads. NEJoe says that the carbs will be all re-plated in a week or so. I should be working on this one instead of typing up all of this BS... 8. 390/401 Jeep Guy: All parts machined and in house! Crank Me!.. I guess that RO-DY has a few stroker cranks done for me. I think that I left him 2-360 cranks (3.53" stroke), a 401 crank (3.85" stroke) and a 390 crank stroked to something or other. The stroker 390 crank will be going in to a 343 block for my '68 AMX.

Actually, I think that we do have fire ants here as well as rattle snakes plus, every other kind of animal you might think of.. Yea, I have way too much going on right now with the whole shop overhaul. Oh and did I mention that I am gone like 11/12 hrs for work every day too? That is all bad enough but, I can't seem to quit messing around with this thing as well.. www.buggiesgonewild.com/members-rides/49793-rat-cart-laher.html

Progress: OK it is slow but, at least I am trying to make some progress.. 53. dcheek45: Extreme Farm Guy Technology in the making. Ya gotta start somewhere. Went over to javtwotone's and we mocked up this external oil pump bracket so that he could figure out the hoses. 1/4" plywood, a drill, and a sabre saw and here we go. Hey, we actually did this BEFORE we had any Barny Pops.. Can't move it up any higher because of the hose routing and the timing over.

It's an Aviaid that I bought used just before I took it to Rick. I picked it up for just about what the pullys and drive mandrel would have cost.
