WOW. Thats how you do it. Should be good for 200 hp at that boost level. Nice job. Definitly not gay.

That is a great way to do it. Cheap turbo kit, realistic goals, and he paid attention to tuning it properly.

That was well thought out and built, good on him for doing it instead of dreaming about it for 10 pages. When you consider what he has into it, it's money better spent even taking into consideration the cost of the fuel system than adding stroke and headwork like a few have done.

I found a kit that is pretty close to what he has. His fuel system is simple and old school and i give him credit for installing and tuning it. Five to seven lbs of boost it pretty tame but its a great success and im quite impressed. cxracing.com. Turbo kit for cj jeep. 1199$ with intercooler....

I'd agree he's getting more power from the 5-7 psi, than most of those guys doing the "4-rust" ported head and stroker deals are. None have them have ever brought their "Beasts" to the track to prove they could run better than a 18 yet.

Turbocharging a six makes a lot of sense. Hotrodding one doesnt.

Check it out: Leaning Tower of No Power running low 9s. The more of this I see, the more I'm convinced that turbochargers aren't ghey at all.
