I changed directions on the trans since I don't daily drive in traffic. I already have the T5, correct bearing retainer, bell housing, flywheel, crank bushing, 70 AMX pedals. Clutch master is on its way. Simple mod for the AMX pedals. Welded a tab at the top of the brake to hit the Ambassador brake light switch. Clutch pedal gets the welds cut off the lever that is for the mechanical clutch. I've got GM hydroboost so no interference with clutch master. Looks like I'll be using a Novak slave cylinder

I have became a fan of the 904/998/999 transmission even thought I don't have one in any of my vehicles right now. By deffenition, this makes me a expert. They are smaller and lighter than a 727 and can be built to handle power. Yea, the Borgomatic should only be used in show cars. The 998/999 is my first choice for performance. The 727 is too much, and not as safe stock. It eats power and makes heat, weighs more and is a pita especially in a small car. Torqueflites are simple and require very few special tools. The small torqueflite is easy to overhaul, parts are way way easier and cheaper to score than a borgamatic, any mopar convertor drops right in a 904/998/999, 32rh and 32re’s are plentifull in jeeps for numerous parts, its crazy how good you got it when you go with a small torqueflite.
