Texas is kind of a big place. I bet theres a lot of em. I dont do that anymore if you were hinting. In my area there are a few choice machine shops. Not specialized builders. No amc specialists. Best is reher - morrison. Theres also long racing engine in irving tx. Small one man opration many years in the biz, high quality. Dennis wells racing in my town, small operation very capeable, not very amc oriented, basically the craft is disappearing in the area due to the disapperance of qualified and experienced uhhm…americans so to speak. Plenty of mexican butchers if your so inclined. There are other worthy machine shops in the area i just listed my three favorites close to me. ACM will certainly have more. I would tell the guy take it to that jcisworthy guy. He is saying he blueprints all his engines. If thats true he does the most thorough job imaginable. Not sure what your guys budget is. Thats the biggest factor.. i expect you would be a very good choice for someone in texas. Just pay the freight. If their is some amc michealangelo here in texas, i dont know of him.
