I have a 77 Cherokee with the 360 and turbo 400 trans. Have gone thru a dozen or so flexplates in the last 25 years. Have changed out everything this last time. New torque converter, all hardware and bearing. Anybody have this happen or any ideas.

Are both dowels in the block? If the converter pilot sleeve still in the crank?

How do they fail? Cracks? Teeth ground off?

The three big holes kinda weaken it, it cracks at the spokes. Not sure why the never reengineered it.

A missing the sizing ring for the TH400 torque converter could be a issue as well.

I still have a few of those. One still has the dealer inventory tag on it.
