Probably the right spot for your series chassis.

Some shit in that parts manual literally gives a headache. Bellcrank ia 67/69 series 10 and 80. Rebel /Ambo. The actual pedal opens up another. Series 10,50,80. Rebel, marlin,Ambo. The rods show 67/69 Rebel, Marlin,Ambo and some 70 Jav's 6 or 8 if the book is right. Good luck on an Ambo. 69~up Ambo only had manual on the Base model which was 232/3 speed column.

So, I mentioned in spud's Roadkill thread (IIRC) that the slip yoke that I ordered from Scummit was tight, too tight, going into the bushing on the tailhousing of the transmission. Today I went to a local wrecking yard, which is what I should have done in the first place, and bought a C-6 slip yoke for $30. Took it home, cleaned it up, and it slid right in all porno like. It measures .004" smaller than the one I got from Scummit. I dropped off the driveline and yoke at I-5 Driveline this afternoon, hoping that they will have it ready for me on Wednesday morning. Cautiously optimistic.

I didn't go with the summit piece. I used a spicer from speedway motors.

Well I'm happy to report that it will now move under its own power. The '70 360 runs pretty good, though I made the mistake of turning the Edelcock carb upside down and whatnot when I had it off, so all the crap that usually sits in the bottom of the bowls has migrated into all the passages. My cobbled together clutch linkage actually feels pretty decent. Now I just need to spring for tires and exhaust.

Woohoo! Feels good dont it? When i got roadkill moved i got the unpleasant surprise of twin grip bindage. Fix one thing then it makes more stuff to fix.

It felt even better to see no glitter in the oil when I changed out the break-in oil. I had Kendall GT-1 20W-50 with "extra ZDDP" laying around, so I used that. It holds 50psi idling hot. 55-60 at WOT. It sounds pretty good too.
