So, it appears that Scarebird is out of the disc brake conversion business due to supply chain issues. I contacted them about getting dimension info for their AMC stuff and they said no, proprietary info... I then asked if they planned to start making things again in the future if they weren't willing to give up the info. They said they are looking at selling their plans to a large company.
There goes reasonably priced kits. I made my own brackets years ago for the rear of my Javelin, using hot rolled steel flat with no issues, but wondered if it would hold up for front brakes.
Looking to the peanut gallery for opinions..

Figures. I didn't even know they existed, and now they're gone. As far as making your own brackets from flat, I would go with something a little stronger like A715.

No real answer for you on aftermarket front. Don't like spirit front discs or you trying to run a specific caliper and rotor?

I'm running Concord brakes right now, and they work fine. My issue is with the thickness of the stock caliber bracket. At some point I'm going to put a 17 x 8 wheel on the front, and may need to reduce the track width to fit them in there.
