Had to have one and found one within 4 hours of me so, you all can do the math. Fascinating vehicle from a historical point of view for me. I have known about them for years but have been digging deeper into them lately. It all started during WW2 when the military needed a light weight vehicle that a Helicopter could lift which what was 2000 lbs max at the time. I am trying to soak it all up and get a timeline going to better understand how it came to be that Nash had the only aluminum engine at the time that the Government would allow to be in a military vehicle. I say Nash because the first information was from 1953 and they called it a American Motors engine and of coarse, American Motors was officially formed in 1954. Just imagine what it was like at Willys that the legendary Willys Jeep lost the contract for that vehicle to the newly formed American Motors Company. Well, here it is. It looks ok but, needs a lot of work. mmb by Rick Jones, on Flickr MMrear by Rick Jones, on Flickr

Just a addition to the collection. I wanna drive it to the local cruise night and maybe some parades. The body is in good shape but the mechanicals will need rebuilt.

Rick, I think you need a bigger shop now. Or at least another one for storage. And maybe a side trip to the shrink to make sure you haven't gone totally over the edge. LOL
BTW, it is a cool truck. I need a Jeep or something like that too.

I did go and see a shrink and he told me to buy a Mighty Mite and a Empire tractor and let NEJoe have the BBG AMX..

I was showing off the Mite to my Brother yesterday and we took it down the road about a quarter of a mile and turned around in my Neighbor's driveway. He happened to be standing in his yard and he yells out to me "Hey, I have something you might want!" Long story short, he had a old Military generator that he has been trying to give to someone. He says that it still works. ..I think it will be the ideal conversation piece to haul around in the back of the Mighty Mite.
