I'm not so sure I would trust the way he did it.

Barry Allen used to just washer up the cam bolt until there was a few thou clearance between the bolt and the timing cover. So, if the cam walked out a little, you would have steel to aluminum. Works in race cars. Jim's method doesn't look robust but, he does have a proven track record on it. The Alfano system seems to be ok to but does require drilling and tapping the block plus the timing gear has to be machined to match up with the GM plate. Maybe it is one of those deals when how good is good enough.

I just keep looking at how shallow they bored that button and see it falling off. *shrugs* doesn't seem like a weiner to me.

I'm more concerned about the new Chinese timing cover and MSD distributor that comes with a POS gear attached to it. Looked pretty sound otherwise. BTW, am I the only one here who thinks Adobe Flash really sucks noodles?

They said some stuff and did some stuff to that 360 in the video that didn't make sence to me. Welding up a 360 crank? Really, they couldn't find another one? And re-chroming it for hardness? Where did that come from. As tecnical as those guys appeared to be, they didn't put a baffle under the PCV valve.. I bet that they didn't run a valley pan gasket. The last thing I wonder is if they corrected the oil passages through the timing set. Well, at least it made good horsepower and they supposidly spun that cast crank at 7K.
