Are you sure the front end didn't lock up or break? That could make a guy a little nervous. It could also make ya a little dead☹️

Stuff like that can really screw over anyone that does work on other people's cars. I try to know who I am doing work for when it comes to safety critical things like roll bars. It's too easy to become a target of a lawsuit.

Well just driving can get you sued. Just tightening a lugnut can get you sued. A truck owner tried to sue us over plugging a diagnostic tool into his truck. I wouldnt design or manufacture anything in this lawsuit happy world. If someone wants to sue you for working on their car, can you countersue for the damage it did to your carpal tunnels? Cars are not designed to never fail. Aircraft arent either. You could be going down the road and blowout a tire. Crash and burn. Take out a busload of kids. They havent outlawed inflateable tires (yet). Whos fault would that be? Hey what if you just put air in it? You? No its dumb to sue yourself .What if it was a firestone tire? Not them they can afford better lawyers. Lets sue the mechanic! Yeah that asshole musta screwed up.😁

I knew who I was doing the work for, and he goes and sells the car... The guy bought it sight unseen and had it shipped to him. He had it for a couple of years, so you would think he was used to way it handled. Here in the Black Swamp area of northern Ohio, we don't have many hills or twisting roads but there is one close to me that I used to test that car. I pushed it fairly hard so I could see what that thing would do, even heel-toe brake and downshifting into some tight corners. I didn't want to hand it off without some insight to how the new suspension affected the car, and for the most part it was positive. problem was, that car got sideways sooo damn easy that the new front end definitely affected how you counter steered it while fucking around. I would be VERY surprised if that fateful day was the first time he ever got on the car hard. WE ALL KNOW how an over powered two-seater can change direction very quickly if you're screwing around in it. So, where does liability come into play when you do something stupid, and would they bother to try to determine if the changes to the car actually caused him to lose control?

I have driven a few cars in my time but an amx will swap ends on you quick if you aint carefull. And thats a major reason for selling mine. When they get loose you just spin out and i kinda opted out of that deal . Ill take a longet wheelbase any day. And if i was into corner carving i would go with a hornet hatchback. An amx to me is fun, but if you get to happy with the accelerator it can get too exciting real quick
