I have a cool solid lfter engle cam. I got it for free. This guy tore down his engine himself. He kept track of the lifters by numbering them. He didnt know what cylinder was 1. And he didnt know which was intake or exhaust. But he numbered them and put them in a bag. So i took them out and there were two number 1s, two number 2’s and so on. Oh well he wanted a new cam anyways. Give ya one guess which one. One choice solid engle cam. Junk. In goes the small summit. Another satified dork.

116. Stupid304. DONE! Sort of.. The flywheel is from a 72 and later 304 and does not index on the '71 crank. So.... the 1972 engine was replaced at sometime with a early '70/'71 304 and they used the 1972 flywheel. We will have to figure out if we can find one of those crank adapters and hopefully it doesn't vibrate too bad. First trial will be with a different flywheel that indexes on the outside crank flange. Oh, and he has to replace the stupid yellow plug wires. The thing actually runs pretty nice for a rattle can rebuild. LOL! Click on it to hear it run. IMG_5837 by Rick Jones, on Flickr

Looks nice, sounds nice, thanks Rick. Not so fast on the plug wires, if I decide to go with rear shackles, N50's on slots hanging half way out of the wheel wells and non matching keystones for the front, those plug wires will be a requirement..

111. Cord360... Never fails. Every time I deviate from my procedure it bites me. Lifter noise? Exhaust noise? Click on it to hear it. Charles3601 by Rick Jones, on Flickr How about a fuel pump noise.. (the chirping is Kyle blowing out bolt holes in a block close by) This is the first time that I started one with a new fuel pump as opposed to using my starting stand fuel pump. The new one will be scrapped. Click on it to hear the difference. Charles3602 by Rick Jones, on Flickr Done! Except for swapping distributor and fuel pump. Another video. Ambo 4 speed car using oil - Next year project. Light at the end of the tunnel! Well I would have had just one to build but I caved to help out a local fellow with a '70 Javelin. He has learned the hard way about using a late crank and trying to mount a M11 flex plate to it.
