Budget is not a bad description . "Farm Guy" designation means it works and lasts, remember "purty" is as "purty" does...

Speaking of "purty"... These are for my rare Rebel Machine with the "Drag-Pac" option. They are actually a matching set of Carters from a '67 318 chrysler marine engine. I do have the spark arresters and even though Machine is a landyaht, that might be going a little too far. NEJoe had everything cleaned and re-plated for me. I told him I wanted them to look like new but not over-restored. He delivered. Now I just hope that they actually run OK. They are babies. I am guessing 370 cfm each according to the bore size etc. These are pretty neat, 100% mechanical secondaries. I have been working on the fuel lines for a while. As close as reasonable, I want everything to look like it could have come out of the factory that way. Worked on the linkage to make it simple yet functional. The front carb will open up before the rear one but at WOT, both carbs will be wide open. I am running the throttle cable to the front carb. There is just not enough room to run it to the rear one with a factory type cable. I have been making a "factory" air cleaner for it too. The top will be a challenge.

Those carbs turned out sweet, NEJoe. Your workmanship on the motor and whatnot is exemplary, Rick.

I have been adjusting the carbs. I really don't like the Offy intake. Not much Engineering there, let's just fit 2 carburertors to it so that it will look cool... Anyway it seems to be more responsive if I hook up the carbs with 1 to 1 linkage, rather than making them progressive. Those are very small carbs (370 cfm each) and I think with the front carb as the primary one, it starves the rear cylinders of the engine until the second one starts to open. Regardless, I really won't know what works best until I actually drive the car..

Yep...1-to-1 with that style intake... that's what I always found too.
Sounds good!

When we do them I use the rear carb as the primary, never had an issue.
