I think its funny how people think low first gears will just make your car do extensive burnouts. Guess thats a good sign they don’t know anything. Low gears are a better way to launch, and with a good chassis setup enables maximum hook and minimum burnout. Even in the burnout box i use second gear. It lights the tires quick and is easier on those wimpy torqueflite sprags. If you wanna do a burnout from hell just put a 2.87 gear behind your 401 and light the tires for 300 feet.

Yep. On the street, my Rebel will blow the tires right off if/when it breaks traction.
