These people do crack me up, they want to modify stuff and not check things. Just bolt on blindly.
Like EVERYONE told me to put 1.6 Rockers on my Chebby. I bought regular stamped steals, no rollers. I installed one side and saw the pushrods rubbing the head. I then read up on them and it says slotting of the pushrod slot in the head may be needed. EVERYONE called BS. I yanked em off and sold the to "The Curse" Told him what the instruction said, he called bs, put em on and fucked up some pushrods and more at 6500 rpm.

I also like they are bashing adjusting valve lash while it's running. That's how I was taught by a bunch of guys faster than any of them are. and my stuff is wore out smog weak junk that runs way better than it should from listening to them. I guess maybe they like lash all over the place.
Well, the guy doing the bashing is a A-Body slowpar guy, soooo.... 340!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets lie about some 12s when it actually runs 15s on a good day.... maybe.

Now cappy when i was a much younger fool i bashed fenders with a 340 4 gear duster that had a cam, headers, torquer and reworked heads. He put my 351 powered 68 mustang to shame. He used to just fender me. I know my car ran easy 14.3. His shit was at least a mid 13 second streeter, probly better...Just memories but i have seen a couple 340’s that suck but i sucked far worse.

Most around here run right with our Camaro. Only one faster, was Parker. A well known Mopar racer. His 8 sec 440 wedge racecar broke, so he raced his crusier for a bit. 70 340 Dart, cam, intake, headers, 355, auto. Car is mint. 14.20. My Monza ate his lunch.
The 340 Gremlin at the track was a very nice car too. 14.8. and another beautiful 70 Dart the guy did a 340 6 pack for it, 14.6. My buds intake and head smog 360 Grem with 2.73 AMC 15 peg leg used to eat his lunch all the time. The rest, 15s-16s. But my track is very slow, since it's uphill. I go out to Braun RD, which has a downhill grade like some track I see. I top out at 5200 rpm and 114ish mph at the 1000' mark. Trap 92 going uphill at QRC tho. Motor is weak as fuck, any little thing helps a lot.
