no converter yet :wtf:
did a few things to the carb, down one jet size in the rear, down on the power valve from 5.0 to 3.5 as it only creates 5 inches at idle and about 2.5 in gear :shock1:
went to the track to see how things went.
import vs domestic
not deep staging this race as it was bracket style with a sportsman tree.
1st pass: test pass
.131 rt 1.721 60' 7.346@95.04 1/8th 11.457@119.75
2nd pass: Q1
.051 rt 1.732 60' 7.355@95.63 11.455@119.96
3rd pass: Q2
.034 rt 1.733 60' 7.404@94.24 11.542@119.12 I changed my shift point and kept it under 6000rpm from 2nd to 3rd gear resulting in a slower time, I think?
4th pass: R1
11.45 dial......12.61 dial .094 rt..............176 rt 1.722 60'.........1.706 7.328@95.67....8.151@83.29 11.592@108.85....12.832@105.73 winner
5th pass: R2 when I pulled to the line Paul the starter came to my car and told me I had to have a fire jacket to run under 11.50 so I had to change my dial from 11.45 to 11.50
11.50 dial.....10.00 dial .128 rt......034 rt 1.722 60'....1.438 60' 7.351@95.13....6.43@106.68 11.471@118.46....10.090@134.44
back up next Saturday for a night race "jet cars under the stars", going to try and get a jacket this week, then as I suspect i'll have to bar it and get some belts because that will be the next thing I get pinched for

ya Reb its been pretty consistent for the most part, hopefully the converter change won't change that aspect and will help it off the line, now to get it in and a little testing done.
maybe someday it will be "scalded dog" fast!!!

off the trailer it went back to back 11.15's and within one MPH of each other, 120 and 119 i'd say the converter change worked!
60' was 1.67 deep staging and 1.57 not deep staging.

got the converter in last Wednesday 8-21-13, went to the track Saturday 8-24-13 open test-n-tune for the first hour 1.677 60' = new personal best 7.11@97.38 = new personal best 11.154@121.10 = new personal best 9 minutes later 2nd pass 1.571 60' = new P/B 7.06@96.14 = new P/B 11.157@119.96 so the converter change was a success now for competition Q1 .056 r/t 1.740 60' 7.297@94.51 11.578@112.34 Q2 .068 r/t 1.668 60' 7.199@94.45 11.555@108.03 = #1 Qualifier out of 7 cars Round 1 .241 r/t >>>>>>.121 r/t 1.68 60' >>>>>>>>1.713 60' 7.219@94.39 >>>> 7.444@95.95 11.405@115.71 >>>winner 11.535@115.79 I broke out handing over the win MOV was .1301 one more race and I think i'm still 3rd in points, up one position from last year

Rick, she responds pretty good to changes, its in the right direction, hope to get a 10.9? out of it before the end of the year!
in this one you can hear how I heat the tires, just enough to clean them up and try to match the track temp, which is a guess for me.
this run was an 11.578@112.34, shifting at 5000 and keeping it steady once it was in high gear.
