...(why do such simple things seem to be such a pain in the butt sometimes)...
On my Rogue, I am planning on hiding as many of the underhood wires and brake-lines as I possibly can. Since I'm using a '67 Corvette master-cylinder, where the lines exit on the opposite (wheel-well) side, the plan is to run the lines straight through the wheel-well, and then back through the firewall, over to the passenger-side of the car, under the dash. Easy enough... right up until I tried finding some bulkhead fittings that'll accept plain-old-standard 3/16" inverted flares... ON BOTH SIDES!!!!!
Does anybody have a source, that my 2 hours of internet searching might not have turned up (found bazillions of 3/16" to AN-whatever)... but do NOT want to go that route.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

OK, been there done that.... Basically you're right, there is no such animal. I solved it 2 different ways. The first was in an area that wasn't really visible. I used a Weatherhead 1345 brass NPT bulkhead and adaptors back to inverted flare. In a spot where I wanted a cleaner look, I used an inverted flare to female NPT on one side and an inverted flare to male NPT on the other side. I experimented with copper washers to get the right thickness for a solid mount versus NPT tightness through the hole. That way the copper washers also act as an seal as well. the Weatherhead numbers are 202x3 and 252x3. I have also used a stainless washer behind the copper one for a better look.

These are double ferrel and good to 10000psi... going to give 'em a try... just placed the order for 2 of 'em.

I've used those compression fittings on brake lines, and they worked just fine.

That design is not the same as a standard compression fitting. We have used them on hydraulic projects where they were the spec. They will work fine for what you are doing, I didn't know they existed in brass, or even in that size.... just make sure the ferrules are in the right order and facing the right way before tightening.

I never saw those fittings before either. Opens up a lot of interesting possibilities. By the way, how'd it turn out?
