Well I guess some people are still spending money. I put the 2 pieces of '70 ram air plastic i had left from my mine that I sold 5 yrs ago, on Epay. The "Y" and the air cleaner topper. The Y was in pretty good condition, but the air cleaner top was busted to shit. flap missing, small chunks gone here and there, pretty rough. I started it at $100 thinking if someone had time and patience, they could make them usable. junk went for 510 bucks..

In my personal experience, parts bring the money. I have no luck selling Cars. Lose my ass every time on them.

In my personal experience, parts bring the money. I have no luck selling Cars. Lose my ass every time on them. Buying cars is the best way ti buy cheap parts to resell. The chassis is worth good money too, its just that selling it off a piece at a time is an endless process. Rebuilding components is a sure way to lose your ass. Amcers are way to cheap and stupid for that. I have a couple good rebuilt engines that i cant even break even on. So i just keep them. I have a 360 i spent near 2500 on just for a stock rebuild. Nobody will give me that for it. Same deal with a 401 i have. Apparantly if it had 500 horepower i could have sold it twice for 3000 bux. People are unrealistic. I dumped near 450 bux into a 727. Still sitting in the garage, cant get 300 bux for it. Spent 1100 bux on a ati race convertor. Cat sell it for 500 bux. Tried selling my 10.70 hornet for 7500 bux ( i got over 5000 in the engine alone. No way. I got near 3000 in the 9 inch ford rearend. Cant sell it for 1000. Apparantly once i have something built, painted working and working very good it becomes worthless to an amcer. If its rusted broke fucked up and dam near scrap they bust out the big bux.

E-Bay has great coverage and you can find people willing to pay. Marketplace and Craigslist people expect you to give stuff away....
But I'm too big of a Pussy for E-Bay. Cause it's like Wal-Mart. They can return anything for any reason. If I miss a mircoscopic scratch on something, refund time. Then they scratch it up even more before sending it back.
A friend of mine did a refund on Wheels, he got back a box of rocks. E-Bay said to fucking bad. They kiss buyers asses from what I've seen. Wasn't it Chuck Page who had NOS taillights he sold, the buyer took a pic of the box he shipped then in with a dent in the corner and the lenses in 1000 pieces? Totally impossible for the light to be in that kinda of shape with that box damage. The UPS truck would have had to drive over the box for that to happen. I wonder what ever happened with that deal.

Yep, it can be a pain in the ass. I list the stuff as NO returns, and insure the shit out of it for shipping. So far so good.

EBay made me take back an iPhone that I stated no warranty, returns or exchanges. Got it back with a note that said that a repair store said it wasn’t genuine Apple parts inside. Sent a copy to eBay and they gave me my money and removed the negative feedback. The repair shop fixed it again for free and I sold it again for another 500 bucks!

I haven't sold anything on ebay in about 3 or 4 years. It used to be a great place to buy & sell before they got greedy. Now there's just a lot of overpriced stuff and junk sold there. Just because you don't see good parts on ebay doesn't mean that they are all dried up. Yeah they are getting tougher to find but ebay has just pushed the selling market elsewhere. I won't sell there if I am paying them 30 to 40% to sell my parts when I can only get about 15 to 20% more for using them. And I am really tired of all of the games the buyers are using to try to scam you out of your stuff there...
