Yep, the hoarding of meat is in place again. People have 20 freezers in their basement. Gonna do a lot of good if the end of the world really does come. No power and no way to get fuel to power your 15 generators.

These are DREAD full times. Fear sells! I dont have hardly anything. Been living on ramen and takeout . Food supply here is spotty. Not back to normal. Might never be what it once was. Corona is building in texas still. Gas is cheap and plentifull. If they wanna fix the cheap oil problem just have the fake news tell of the coming gas shortage and the hoarders will make one. Poof price of gas 15 bux a gallon.

Went and did a little shopping today, the female was a little under the weather. Meat departments here a are fully stocked, with good prices on pork, so-so on chicken, kinda spendy on beef.

Interesting situation down here is over abundance of feral hogs. They are out of control. Plenty of pork to be had, no bag limit, no permit needed, shoot em on sight. If you have the skills and inclination to feild dress game, you can eat pork cheap. Farmers and ranchers will let you shoot em for free.

Honestly texas is going to hell. Its not the hogs. Its californians. Elk is a very fine meat. You could pack out east and nail some elk. Or maybe buffalo? Not sure if you got buffalo ranches in washington. Of course i expect deer is plentifull. But game meat is getting to be a cheaper healthier option. And hurst, i know it aint deer season, but last time i was in southern illinios it was deer season. There was so much road killed deer it was a cryin shame. Coulda fed an army.

Something i found interesting was stories of some odd disconect in the food chain. Farmers destroying crops because they can grt them to market, dairy farmers dumping milk, they have a backlog and the cows have to be milked every day, problems with getting livestock from ranch to market with processing shutdowns...All fresh foods having logistic issues and the markets have shortages. Truckers cant get loads to move and trucks not moving. Front line workers in the transpotation sector ( like me) with no work at all, something is really non sensical about the whole fiasco here. Is the government engineering the “ shortage”? I no longer think this is all caused by a virus ?even one that was engineered to thin the human herd.
