I love a rebel. In my eyes its the perfect fix for a b body mopar. Its done right all the way. They are very unique, rare, unusal, unexpected and a joy to see. Thats why i started this topic. I want Reb to showcase his namesake. In detail. Sorry if its hiding on the site somewhere, i could not find it.

He never did tell me which gear ratio he wanted. I am going to end up with 2 complete coil spring rear ends as spares if I ever get my Machine done.

Any gear ratio that is better than 2.87 would be nice, Trac-Loc would be double sweet. I also need new rear springs. I called Eaton once, but they couldn't get off the phone fast enough. I think the only styling change I would make on the Rebel would be the older Rogue/American style outside door handles.
I got 'em all out of order.
Return lane at track.
Outside my old B&M shop.
Staging lanes.
Streetside.
Just for fun, the ol' Wag lined up against a Rambler.

😁 fantastic! I have an idea for your rear springs. Airbags. Once upon a time a company called airlift made them, they went inside the coil spring, not only did they lift, they added spring rate. I know its only money and easy to dream. So heres another idea. Air bags, onboard arb air compressor for instant adjustment. While your at it get an arb air locker for the rear axle. The ultimate street strip locker and i’ll tell ya why. Rain. If you ever drove a posi or locker in rain you know what a dangerous bitch it is. Just a tad to much throttle and the rear swings out and your in the ditch or the oncoming lane. With an arb locker, you flip a switch to lock it. When your done with it, flip the switch back and cornering and handling is back to normal. Safe and sane again. In rain or worse an open diff is the safe setup. If you get stuck in mud or snow flip to lock. Plus you got an onboard compressor to air your tires up. If you wanna drop pressure at the track or you notice a low tire, you got air anywhere. Fun and practical! Unique! I bet you nobody has one! I sure wish i did that. The trutrac I have is fine, but if it rains look the hell out!!!

I think thats alamosa aqua. One of the best... or at least my favorites. The metallic amc colors were not bad. Tony sanchez’s javelin is that color.

'74 401 w/Torker, stock bottom end, Lunati VooDoo cam that idles smooth, but has very little low end grunt, Hedman headers. Stock TH400, 2.87 with a Lok-Rite that acts more like a spool. 1/8th mile track times are 9.2-9.4 @ 83-84 mph. It's pretty lazy coming off the line, 60 with ft. times in the 2.5-2.6 range. Race weight according the state patrol scales is 3640. I haven't had the thing out, or done any tweaking on it in years. I have a laundry list of things I would like to do, in no particular order: 1) Replace Mallory points conversion with one from American Autowire. 2) Replace TH400 with a four or five speed. Automatics suck all of the fun right out of a hot rod, imo. Barring that, get a convertor for the TH400, or install a 727 for which I have a convertor. 3) Get some decent rear gears. 4) Electric fuel pump. 5) Rear springs/airbags/something. 6) Correct rears suspension geometry in order to cure severe off the line wheel shake.
Oh, yeah, I need some new tires too.

That's what I love about time slips. That cam needs gear/stall bad......
My 455 Omega went 3550 with me out on QCR scales. I was another 185 lbs.... 2.56 gear 28" tall tires. One time I got a 1.9 60' the Track had some great prep. Yet I still left at a dead idle and didn't open the secondaries till 30-40' out. I had a small 4175 650 Holley on it, and the secondaries would come open at half throtttle, to I had to leave at half throttle or less to get traction, then open her up. Normal 2.0-2.2 60s and 8.6 1/8. but 14.8 steady 1/4s, best of 14.6, but would run 15.0. Dropped dead bad at the 1/8 if with air plane gears...
72 455 stock cam and intake, single points, headers with 4 lower tubes smashed half shut. But had a TH350 with a stock SB vertor. But could footbrake it to 2000 easy with the BB.
anywho, it's interesting to see what gear and such does to each combo

I went out today and slapped a batteria in it and dumped some gas down the carb. It fired right up. Moving from the portable carport storage over to the shop area so I can tinker on it.
