I have a couple of 3.54 ring and pinions that would help with the low end grunt.

I shipped the 3.54 to you. I put a 3.54 gear in my old Javelin with a 343 and automatic. That car was tons-o-fun with that gear in it.

Carburetors really suck. Last time I moved the Rebel around the property, I neglected to pull the carb back off and put a lift plate over the mounting flange of the intake. Thus, the mice pretty well fucked my fancy Quickfuel carb. So I rob a few parts from it and my old 3310 to get a fairly recently acquired 4779 (750PP)operational and try it out. Massive vacuum leak. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Base gaskets are $8 each at the local parts house vs. $2 online. Plus I'm out of fuel bowl gaskets, $16 for two at the parts house vs. $2 online. Grrr... It's frustrating how your stuff goes to shit when it sits. That Pro-Flo IV LS-3 is starting to look mighty good. On the upside, the American Autowire Breakerless SE ignition is looking like a genuine upgrade from the Mallory Unilite I was using.
