Like it says. I'm looking for that big round heavy piece of unobtanium that spins on the back of the engine. 70/360 or whichever other that can be match balanced.

The 290 won't have the balancing lug on the back. It could be balanced but would be easier with a pre-1972 304/360/390/401 because they all have the lug on the back.

So much for that idea. I was hoping I could sell it for more than scrap iron price... Prolly harvest the timing cover/gears and intake baffle and throw the rest in the scrap pile.

Flywheel or flexplate? This one has a flexplate. Spud, when I get a chance this winter, I'll tear it down and see what we have.

Flywheel or flexplate? This one has a flexplate. Spud, when I get a chance this winter, I'll tear it down and see what we have. FLYWHEEL! 290 flywheels are hard to find. 290 flex plates are worth scrap unless... you have a 290 flex plate from a M11.
