Well I went over to Javetwotone's last week end to help him clean out his shop. It totally sucks. He has to move a life time collection of parts from a packed 30x60? shop to storage areas and a single car garage. This could have easily been me this year as well. Anyway, I am storing a 401 and (2)360'S for him (somewhere). The rest of this load is the stuff that neither one us could scrap. I will find a place somewhere to pack it in.. The Jeep Dana 44 and tires went to another buddy of ours who... owned my new Cord at one time or another.
It's too bad it's so damn expensive to ship that stuff. I wouldn't mind having a 390 or 401 flywheel.

Any of those rears have some decent gearsets in them? Or are they all 2.87 and higher?

Let's face it, all of our stuff will be moving down the road at some point. Can't take it with us in the end. But it does suck under those circumstances.
Yeah. I get to thinkin' about that every time I drag something home from an estate sale. Some day, it will be our shit being scattered to the winds at an estate sale.

You're taking all the fun out of being a pack rat... And I just dragged home a bunch of crap yesterday.
The building started 30X60, and I had to add 15' on the end of it for my trailer (plus...more parts). Quite the adventure sorting through all that crap, how the hell did I end up with 10 Saginaw power steering pumps??? Gearsets?, some are 3:54, and one is a 4:11 in a big body Jav rear end. Pretty sure SC397 did some reflecting on his own hoarding, but I doubt it will change anything... Next chapter I guess. I built and worked on some cool shit, and had a lot of fun (trying to not fall off a milk crate while sideways in the Rot Rogue comes to mind), but I do believe I spent too much time in that barn because I didn't want to be in the house.... just took me too long to figure that out. I still have 2 AMCs, and really hope to be able to do something with them eventually. Having a woman who supports me and that wants to enjoy them with me will be a huge difference.
I know what ya' mean. I made sure that my wife was aware of all of my interests and idiosyncrasies in the beginning. Now I just need a big shop so I don't have to go in the house ;-) But really, it's always sad for me to hear about a couple splitting the sheets. Take care.

The reason mine wanted to meet me in the first place was because of my car. Well, here is the last load out of the main part of the shop. Now, a couple trips to the scrap yard and storage then he can work out of his micro shop. It sucks big time.
I know how it feels.. I did a shop down size about 5 years ago. I lost a 30 X 40 shop to a 20 X 24. Now 2 of my cars and a lot of tools and parts are in another storage barn..
Thanks Joe. I'm glad I at least welded some holes shut on your Rambler..... felt like I contributed a tiny bit... sorry the timing sucked for me to be able to get that thing ready for paint.

kenco18: Years ago,I,worked in a machine shop/Auto Parts store. They had. Pair of AMC heads there that I was tiled were for a 304. They had a strange block in the intake runner that I never saw before or since. Does anyone know what these heads were out of?
