Just wanted to see of anyone's going to the Pate Swap Meet at the Texas Motor Speedway (Ft.Worth) next week? I'll be there all day Thursday (everybody's setting up, so you can get the best deals then).

TMS is in Fort Worth? I live about 10 min from the track and didn't think it was F.W. I could end up over that way

The swap meet is actually Thursday through Sunday (April 26-29)... I have a friend that's set up there for about the last 20 years (way back when it was held at the Pate Museum, about 30 miles south of Ft.Worth... hence the name).
I always go out with them on Thursday, 'cause you get to see/find all of the "good" stuff, while it's still being set up. Even though it is open to the general public on Thursday, most people come out on Friday or Saturday...

Ok, I will be there. How do I find you? I will find you. I can sniff out AMC stuff. And as for FW, I'm hearing FW put up most of the money, so even tho is not quite in FW they call it that anyway.

Keep in mind that I will only be there Thursday... My friend's space is at the corner of Andretti and Second. This it the aisle/road closest to the track (and the furthest from the general-admission parking lot). And don't be looking for a place with piles of AMC junk ... I'd hate to distract the customers from his HIGH dollar signs... ...looking forward to seeing you!

Would you like me to drag my X-member out to Pate with me, or have you decided on something else?

No car stuff at all, at his spaces... all old signs and stuff... and I'll be honest, finding ANY AMC stuff is almost impossible out there... but I keep looking!

ok so from what i've seen the bulltear kit is ok, but needed some tweeking to fit right, then the geometry is a bit odd but hey it will get a v-8 on a six x member. and a v-8 amc member is a good way to go but the engine plates are kind of hard to score, but i think someone has them repop or something. the oem setup is nicer.

Well I didn't see any of you guys out there today, sorry if you came by while I was out looking. I only saw a couple of AMC cars... '65 Marlin (no rust, all trim was there, interior SHOT!!!, V8 automatic... $2700. Also a '68 Rebel convertible barn find (no rust, no top, no interior... $1800. Oh yeah, and this (which is pictured here sitting on my back-porch): This is the closest to a MINT Rambler sign that I have ever seen... VERY GOOD SCORE!!!
