It's funny that the Mopar and Chevy big block dual snorkel air cleaners are going for 25% of what that guy wants for a Javelin air cleaner. I guess for that kind of $$, if I wanted to make the cowl induction on my Javelin functional again, I would buy a $200 Corvette air cleaner and make it fit. Or just fab one up. BTW, dontcha know that restrictive air cleaners give you more torque?

People just have to have stock like everyone else, so bad, I guess they'll pay for it.
I've went to Swap Meets with a few old racers from the 1960s and they all laughed at the prices of these things. They said they used to throw them in the trash, cause of how bad they sucked. It's hard to believe so many still exist. Someone musta been dumpster diving all those years ago.

My main interest is in original cars and I have been buying and selling parts since the 70's. Those sellers are fishing for someone that has less brains than money. I even see the single snorkel 72-73 versions with ridiculous prices ($750-$1000). If anyone pays that they are seriously stupid or really desperate. I sold a later model (72-72) ram air set up last year for $400 because no one would buy it at $500. I had to drop the price $50 twice to get anyone to even take interest. With the ebay prices, I figured that at $500 someone would buy it right away.

I think I still have the one that came with my '73 Jav/AMX. Just for the time saving factor, I might pay $300 or $400 for the CI setup for my car, but $1700- $2.4K is just idiotic.
