Damnramblers anyway.. I lost track of how many cars NEJoe and I have traded back and forth so when he described this one to me I figured I had to have it. The story begins over a few adult beverages of course and then progress into Let's Make a Deal. He was telling me that he had bought a parts car for his SC/Rambler but it was really too rare and good of a car to cut up. It was stored at his Dad's house in NE and he couldn't remember much about it other than it was a 2 door post with a 290 in it. Without seeing it or knowing what he paid for it, I told him that I would pay him double what he paid for it. (This may have been after more than a few adult beverages) He say's "Sold!" My response was something like, Oh shit how much did you pay for it... He responded with a hundred bux! I said, Excellent! Well today he found out that it is a 1969 which means that they only made 14 of them. My first thoughts were that I would make another Rot Rogue out of it but after finding out how rare it is I may have to change direction. Nice to still be able to find deal, instead of all the Crackhead rape prices out there.
Nice little ride.

Once you start getting into numbers and prouction stats the survivors are all too unique to cut up.

Especially the V8 stuff. This is the other project that I bought from NEJoe. Three 1967 American Convertibles for the price of one to restore a 290 automatic car. They made 921 American Convertibles in 1967. I don't know how many were 290 cars. This is one of the donor cars for parts. IMG_4501 by Rick Jones, on Flickr This is the second donor car.
