Ok...that's it... they can all go home. That blue Talladega is the monkies poo. I had a 68 and 69 fastback Torino. And they really were some of the biggest loves of my life.

The thing is all of these Boyz are serious abut the high speed thing. Way cool to be even a part of it even though it was Bruce's deal. The Talledega thing is ho-hum to me cuz I have seen the best in the Toledo area believe it or not. None the less, I respect the vehicles, that is why I took the picture.

Much respect to them all for going and putting numbers down. Not pulling shit out of their ass to impress the 12y/o neighbor kid with. "Yeah my stock as a rock 304 2bbl Ambo did 210 mph with more left in it, cause I had 2.87 gears and aweshum tuning skillz."

Uhh were you in the back seat blindfolded when you did that. Lol ;D I'm cool wih all the go fast crew. That black cat-o-lack is wow. And every camero, fire bird, mavrick that has been made hot is too. But when you get into Duty Specific cars like the Talladega, 70 Javelin, Cheetah, and so on... I get wood. I guess my favorite cars have a pure-bred feel to them.

Cheetah story... I know of a guy who found a Cheeta body in the back of a farm truck in the junk yard in the late '70's. I bet he still has it and I bet he has done nothing to it. Yea, purpose built cars are cool to but then your competition is tough. Bruce's AMX is cool to me just because it is honestly a daily driver. He didn't put it together for the single purpose of running the mile.....he just thought that it would fun to do.
