Yes, the motor with the Zex plate is the same one that's in the Hot Rod article. Picked it up from the Ricchio's last year in Kenosha and basically rebuilding the car around that plate.
Sorry, neither motor is for sale. The old lump is going into a 67 Rebel.

Pete sold the car as a roller. The new owner wanted to do some grudge racing and was tossing in a twin turbo LS set up. The company that did the motor plate and efi stuff was Blitzkrieg Motorsports in Wisconsin. They do pretty cool work!

Hopefully. I'm going up in a couple weeks to fit the seat and steering, so eating like hell for now and will go on a crash diet afterwards. Better a little loose than too tight.
Only snags so far are finding the adapters for 2" headers and the company that made the dash may have folded... the dash kinda sucks, I'm trying to keep the car looking as street-like as possible but it had an aluminum dash before and may have one again.
The adapters aren't the end of the world either. worse comes to worse, I'll draw up some and have them made.
Wild card will be the powder coating... never met one that kept to a schedule.
Plan is to have it ready for Cordova. If all goes really well and we're not all speaking Chinese by then, maybe Kenosha.
Also heard if I use an air gap and a 650dp I can pick up a shitload of hp and some queen is giving out free blow jobs. We'll see how it goes!

Throwing a lot of the spare parts from the AMX onto the Rebel Hoping to end up with a more modern version of the Topel Rambler. So far just test fitting things and figuring out linkages. Trying to decide between a T10, TKX or a 727.
The 727 would be easiest, almost no cost and the converter matches the set up nicely but just seems wrong.
